Membership

Membership fees are $20.00 per person, including Gold Card holders.  Fees are payable to the Finnish Society of Edmonton, and can be sent to :  

Glen Niska-Aro, 4904-43 A Ave. Edmonton AB, T5L 4B7 .  Membership fees are due by the end of May each year.

The annual fee of $200.00 for Fork Lake campsite holders is due by the end of May each year. Overnight visitor donations are appreciated. Send the campsite fee payments to Brenda Niska-Aro (4904 - 43A Avenue NW, Edmonton AB, T5L 4B7).

Sewing Circle

This productive group meets  on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Please contact Tiina for details . 

Nordic Walking

The walking program takes place every other Sunday at 1 PM at Rundle Park. Talk to Susan Kankkunen ([email protected]). Walking poles are available through the Society.

Finntasia Choir

The choir always welcomes new members. It is non-auditioned and sings in both Finnish and English at Finnish Society functions and community events.

 

Scandinavian Seniors' Club

ESCA (Edmonton Scandinavian Centre Association) invites Scandinavian Seniors to  the Nordic Room of the Dutch Canadian Centre/Home of the Scandinavians on Wednesdays between 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Activities include card playing, watching Scandinavian movies, guest speakers on items of interest to Seniors, and more.  A lunch is served at approximately 1:30 p.m.
